In fiscal 2023, Microsoft experienced around 13% drop in its share of revenue generated from Windows products. The company generated total $21,507 million in net revenue from Windows products in 2023 compared to $24,732 million in 2022. The total net revenue of the company however, grew to $211,915 million in 2023 compared to $198,270 million in 2022.

In 2022, the company experienced a growth of 10% or $2.3 billion in its Windows revenue driven mainly by growth in Windows OEM and Windows Commercial revenue. The company generated $24.8 billion from Windows in 2022 compared to $22.5 billion in the prior year

Microsoft’s revenue from Windows grew by $925 million or 5% in 2018 versus the previous year reaching $19.52 Billions versus $18.6 Billions in 2017. Growth in revenue was mainly driven by growth in Windows Commercial and Windows OEM, offset by a decline in patent licensing revenue. Windows Commercial revenue grew 12%, driven by multi-year agreement revenue growth. Windows OEM revenue also saw 5% growth. Windows OEM Pro revenue saw a growth of 11%, ahead of a strengthening commercial PC market. Windows OEM non-Pro revenue saw a 4% decline, below the consumer PC market, due to continued pressure in the entry-level price segment.
